The tour was really good. Portland and Seattle shows were amazing… Madraso absolutely destroyed both nights. Big thanks to the bands that hooked us up with shows and played with us (Hookerfight, Lucika, Salvador, Mongoloid Village, Mico de Noche, Madraso, and others), the friends that let us crash on their floors, and everyone that came out to see a show. Hopefully we’ll do it again soon.
Pics here.
Idiotic/awesome video here.
We have one show on the books right now — January 17 with Earthless and Orchid — and then we’re going to try and get the next record finished and released. Plus, maybe a split 7.

Tomorrow we’re heading off to play a few out-of-town shows — our first. With the day jobs and all, touring is hard to schedule.
I am stoked for all shows, but particularly for PDX and Seattle with Madraso, whose record was one of my favorites last year.
Here’s the info:
Wed 12/3 - Sacramento CA @ On The Y w/Hookerfight
Thu 12/4 - Eugene OR @ Samurai Duck w/Lucika
Fri 12/5 - Portland OR @ Ash Street Saloon w/Madraso, Mongoloid Village, Salvador
Sat 12/6 - Seattle WA @ Bit Saloon w/Madraso, Mica de Noche
We will get as many slow-mo “staring thoughtfully at the long, lonely road” shots as possible.

The Helms Alee show last week was great. They totally killed.
Our friend Peter Schafer was in from the east coast, and shot some damn fine photos of our set (on film, even). Make your browser big and have a look.
Also, Jen Farmer shot some nice Helms Alee photos - those are here.
And here’s video of our last song - TTJ. I would have recorded the Helms Alee set but I was too busy watching.
Time to go pack my undies and sleeping mask. Tour!

This is the no-excuses Kowloon Walled City show. You pretty much HAVE to attend.
Why?
It’s early. KWC goes on at 7:30 and the show will be over by 9:30. You can be home in your jammies watching Law and Order or whateverthefuck by 10pm.
It’s a GREAT BILL (besides the opener). Helms Alee are possibly the best new band of 2008. When they end up on the cover of SPIN, don’t you want to be able to say you “saw them when they played a free show with a friend’s band”? Don’t miss this sure-fire gloating opportunity.
It’s fucking FREE, you cheap bastard. You can spend your hard-earned luchre on beer and merch.
So please come out to the Hemlock this MONDAY, November 17, at 7pm and support us and Helms Alee. I promise it will kick ass.

On the heels of the Thrasher story comes a nice li’l writeup in one of our favorite local free weeklies. Dan Alvarez of the San Francisco Bay Guardian buttonholed us after we got off stage at the record release show when we were still a little amped. Amusing repartee ensued.
Kowloon Walled City
Sounds like metal, looks like metal …
Prodigious grooves, indeed!
